Pastor TK Murphy

Senior Pastor
Elder

T.K. comes to us from Castle Rock Bible Church where he has been the Senior pastor for the last two years.  A graduate of Colorado Christian University, T.K. has been in the ministry for 21 years. T.K. received his Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth Texas.

He is the father of five children; Kendall, Maddie, Logan, Parker, and Zachary. His wife's name is Tanya and they live in the Applewood area. His testimony is as follows:

I grew up in a loving, Catholic home along with six active brothers and both parents. For me, although I had information on Christ and what He did for me, I was left questioning and yearning for more. Even though I was raised in church and Catholic school with the idea of Jesus I was rebellious and self-centered. I thought I was great and thought that everyone else should think that too. At the age of 23 years old after I lost my bartending job, my relationship, having had attended three different colleges, and in the midst of health issues, my younger brother shared the gospel with me. God revealed to me that I was indeed a sinner in need of saving. My brother shared that what I must do was believe in Jesus Christ and trust that He died for me on the cross. With a simple prayer, weeping in deep conviction of my sin I told my God that I was sorry for living for myself. I asked for forgiveness. With every fiber of my being, I believed in Christ and what He did for me. It was on that very night that I believe that God began to lay it upon my heart to become a teacher and preacher of His word. I had to let everyone know the freedom and peace that I experienced in believing in His Son! Although I have stumbled and felt great pain in my life, the Word of God never changes. Jesus said “In this world you will have trouble, but take heart, I have overcome the world”.
John 16:33 It is my hope and prayer that if you are hurting, lost, tired, or being persecuted in this life, that you will run to Christ. I believe with all of my heart that you can only find rest in the arms of the One and only loving Father.

Because He lives,
Pastor T.K. Murphy
